The first time we were at the school, Tom was the first white man, who came into the village. At the second visit it appeared that there has been another white man.
We were thirsty, so we went to the local pub.
It was rainy season, so again barefoot through the mud.
The café consisted of two boards, one to sit on,
the other to put bottles and glasses on.
And there we heard that a few months ago a girl from the village,
she worked in Bangkok, had brought a white friend with her.
This friend has been waiting half an hour on the road in front of the cafe,
to the great amusement of the villagers, he dared not to sit down.
While what we were drinking an old woman approached us, and after some hesitation she wlaked to Tom's camera bag, and very friendly of started looking in it. This woman did not speak Thai, only Khmer, and she was just curious. So Tom took a picture of her, and sent that to the school later.
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
