This is a large hotel in the center of Chiang Rai, within walking distance to the night market. The hotel has over 200 rooms. It is a nice hotel, and even if it is large, still quite personal.
We slept in a Deluxe room. These are spacious, bright rooms. The rooms are what you would expect, a good bed, dressing table, minibar, kettle, large TV, wardrobes, and a whispering air conditioning. To open the door you need a pass. The bathroom is tidy, bath with shower, washbasin and toilet. We have also seen the standard rooms, We get the impression that these rooms are cramped and dark.
The reception area is spacious, very spacious, and the service is good. The staff like to help and to answer all questions. How good their English is we do not know.
Breakfast is included in the price. The breakfast buffet has European and Thai dishes. There is plenty of choice, only at 10 o'clock, everything was a bit cold.
During the day there is plenty of parking space, in the evening there is not so much space because the parking (they have to pay a fee) is also used by visitors to the night market. There is a swimming pool, massage, wireless internet and at least one restaurant.
The last time, after some bargaining, we had to pay 2000 Thb per night. We did not book in advance.
We have been there twice, most recently in March 2011.
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travelguide (we are not complete), and it is neither an advice to visit or not to visit a place. Other sites can give you that information.
Our opinion about a hotel or restaurant is not ment to be a (positive or negative) review, you can find that information on other sites.
