Slept at Pin Hotel
The Chae Son National park is located 70 kilometers north of Lampang. Close to the park's headquarters is a very nice waterfall, and a few hot water springs with bathing facilities. If you make a walk along the waterfall, with a lot of steep stairways to climb, you will get hungry after a while.
Next to the parking place are some very simple food stalls.
below a tin roof are some bottles with lemonade, chips and a barbecue.
In front are simple wooden tabels and benches.
And a lot of cats.
On the barbecue you will see khai yang (grilled chicken) and something wrapped in banana leaf.
It appears to be naem.
Naem is pork mixed with rice and pork rind.
The rice causes the meat to digest, and gives it a soure taste.
So we ate khai yang and naem, and sticky rice.
It tasted very good, far beyong our expectation!
And the cats enjoyed the chicken bones.
We had to pay about 120 Thb for a few portions and two bottles of lemonade. Not much for such a nice lunch.
Our last visit was in February 2010.
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travelguide (we are not complete), and it is neither an advice to visit or not to visit a place.
