Poonsuk Plaza, along Thanon Poonsuk, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, coordinates 12°34'13"N 99°57'31"E.
We went to sit there one evening because in the middle of the plaze a band played
nice music, 60's and 70's.
And also because there were no girly bars.
There are three bars on the plaza, Angel Eye, ICE Bar and JJ's Bar.
It was crowded, almost only western tourists, who listened to the music and sometimes were dancing. The staff was friendly and attentive. They were curious where Pia lived.
We ordered a few drinks, and we expected a large bill afterwards. But that was not the case, about 80 baht for a bottle of beer, 100 for a glass of wine.
In 2012 we went there again, for two nights this time. And every night a different band, but the same style of music. The band does not consist of top musicians, but they make nice music and visitors appreciate that. Nice to sit for a night.
Our last visit was in February 2015.
