Dined at Kai Yang Khao Suan Kwang

Home - Travel stories - Bangkok - Dined at Kai Yang Khao Suan Kwang

318/5 The Paseo Mall 1, Thanon Lat Krabang, Lat Krabang, Bangkok, 02-3464175.

This is a restaurant that has mainly dishes from the north-east of Thailand on the menu.
But other Thai dishes are also available.

At this restaurant you eat, unlike most Isaan restaurants, inside, in an air-conditioned area.
Outside, next to the door under a porch, are also a few tables, but these are not used very much.
There are about 20 tables, solid wooden tables with sturdy chairs.
In the back at the restaurant, behind the cash register and the bar, is the kitchen. The kitchen is closed, so unfortunately you don't see how the food is prepared.

The restaurant is never very busy, but throughout the whole day there are eating people. At dinner time, of course it is busier.

We usually order kai yang (grilled chicken) and some other Isaan dishes. The food tastes good, and it's not too spicy.
You never have to wait very long for the food, and the service is usually pretty quick.
This is not a restaurant where you sit with a large group of people for a long time. But it is good for lunch or a fairly quick meal.

We've been eating here for a few years, in 2010 probably for the first time. In December 2017, we were there for the last time.

When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travelguide (we are not complete), and it is neither an advice to visit or not to visit a place. Other sites can give you that information.
Our opinion about a hotel or restaurant is not ment to be a (positive or negative) review, you can find that information on other sites.
It is our description of a situation on a certain moment, influenced by our mood.
