Kamphaeng Phet is the capital of the province with the same name. The city is located in the northern part of Thailand, about 360 kilometers north of Bangkok. Kamphaeng Phet is situated on the banks of the Ping river.
From Bangkok it is easy to reach Kamphaeng Phet, about 4 hours by car,
mainly the higway to Chiang Mai.
From Bangkok, Sukhothai and Phitsanulok bussen depart to Kamphaen Phet.
The coordinates are 16° 29' 0" N 99° 31' 12" E.
