The Thung Kwian market is located on the road from Lampang to Chiang Mai, in the Hang Chat district, we have the idea it is in the middel of nowhere, because we did not see any settlement near the market.
There are a few large covered area's where most goods are sold, and a very busy parking lot. A lot of goods are sold in the parking place as well.

We went to the market, because we had heard, or read, that a lot of products from the woods were on sale here.
That was the case, we saw eggs from red ants, and large peace of boar meat. And very, very much vegetables.
But also clothing, CD's, tea, dried herbs, and also a lot of products thate are produced in the area around the market.
On some markets you can buy a lot of plants. These plants are most likely taken away from the forest, we did not see that on this market.

We visited the market for a second time, and we got the idea more and more people are visiting, the visiters are arriving by buses.
And there were not mucht products from the forest anymore.
Maybe the market is not what is being told about it anymore, but you can have a good time walking around, watching people, and looking at the goods offerde for sale.
