A lot has been arranged this past month.
All hotels en route have been booked, and we can still cancel them. After Santiago de Compostela we go to Durango for three nights, because otherwise we will be on one of the black Saturdays in France.
From there we go to Poitiers, where we do not have a hotel but an apartment. And finally to Lille; maybe we will stay there for two nights.
We know which fuel to throw in the car.
We both have European health insurance cards.
And a comprehensive travel insurance policy.
We also have a list that shows how we recognize the toll gates for our device per country.
And, importantly, the telephone numbers of the landlords of our apartment.
It feels exciting, driving such a long distance through Europe.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
