Our room at The Originals Limoges le Saint-Martial Hotel in Limoges is good and quiet, and
we slept reasonably well on a good bed.
The breakfast is also well cared for, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. After breakfast we pack and pay.
We have to wait a while before we can get the car out of the garage, at most 5 minutes, because there is another car in front of ours.
Then we drive away for a ride of over 500 km to Durango in Spain.
Our GPS does not know the street where our next hotel, Gran Hotel Durango, is located.
We will see further when we are in Durango.
The route of our GPS sends us an hour on a two-lane road, it is nice to drive there and it is nice to see the landscape.
Then we arrive on a highway to Boudeaux, and that goes well. But at Bordeaux it is busy and the traffic sometimes runs slowly.
Once we are on the road to San Sebastian it becomes quieter again, it is a stretch of 220 km, a bit boring.
It is getting warmer, the thermometer of the car shows between 40 and 42 degrees.
Along the way we make a sanitary stop, and it's hot.
We refuel further, and it seems even warmer.
Once in Spain the road becomes more fun, about 100 km over a road that winds through the
mountains, with occasional tunnels.
The landscape is beautiful.
We find Durango easy, but then we have to search. We decide to follow the signs to the local tourist office, and suddenly we see our hotel, Gran Hotel Durango.
The room is nice, spacious, and also with a spacious bathroom, but we do miss a kettle.
It is so hot that we do not go to the town to look, but to have a drink in the hotel bar. At six we do go outside to have look, it has become more cloudy. It appears to be cooler indeed and rain seems to be coming. The town seems nice, but given the dark clouds we quickly return to the hotel.
We are just in time before the rain starts to go down.
We eat at the hotel, reasonable food, and then go to the room.
There is more than 1650 km on the clock.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
