We get up quietly and have breakfast.
Then we pack and clean up, today we drive from Lisbon to Porto.
When we load the luggage, we see that an idiot has damaged the rear bumper of our car, there are big scratch and it must have happened when unpark. And of course no note or something has been left behind.
There is 2605 km on the odometer when we drive away.
First we drive to the park for the last cup of coffee that we drink there.
Then we refuel, and that takes a long time, there is a long line of cars waiting.
We are quickly on the highway and then it is more than 300 km. We pass the Ponte Vasco da Gama, a very beautiful bridge, and then only highway through an area that is becoming increasingly green.
We follow a difficult route in Porto, but we find the hotel without any problems.
We have driven 2950 km so far.
The hotel, Hotel Dom Henrique Downtown, is neat, good and fast reception, and we get some
brochures about Porto.
We stay here for three nights.
We can park the car in the parking garage next to the hotel.
The room is neat, seating, air conditioning, minibar, space for luggage, and especially a lot of space, on the 15th floor. The bathroom is also spacious and good, with a separate shower and a rain shower.
We walk into the city to explore the area.
There are many hop-on-hop-off buses and we decide to buy tickets for that tomorrow.
The area is not very familiar yet. But we come to the station and there it becomes familiar.
We come into a street, Rua das Flores, where there are many restaurants, and it is also very busy. We sit down at Restaurante LSD, where we had difficulty getting a table on the terrace. We eat octopus and meat from black pigs; the food tastes great.
The bill is different than in Lisbon, more than 70 euros.
When we walk back to the hotel it starts to rain and we go to the hotel by taxi; less than 4 euros.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
