We slept reasonably at Hotel Ibis Arcachon La Teste in La Teste de Buch and we have breakfast.
Today we will drive again, to Nantes in France, just over 400 km.
It's raining a bit, some drizzle.
At around eleven we drive away, and it is a bit busy at Bordeaux, but we can go on. Better than yesterday, because then there was a traffic jam on the road past the hotel for a few hours.
After Bordeaux it becomes quiet again, the road is actually quite boring. There are a few heavy showers near Nantes. When we enter Nantes we arrive in a new neighborhood, full of office buildings, and a road that is partly a bus lane. Of course we end up on the bus lane.
The hotel, Hotel Novotel Nantes Center Bord de Loire, is easy to find, there is space in the
The room is comfortable.
The hotel is located on the banks of the Loire, a fifteen minute walk from the center.
Nantes appears to be a beautiful city, many fairly old and apparently well maintained, tall
By chance we find a neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars by. In a beer café we both drink a glass of IPA, expensive but very tasty.
We walk around a bit, and it is striking that there are many restaurants where they sell Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese food.
We choose The Red & Luna, a sushi restaurant, where they speak very good Chinese. We order sushi (moderate), with too little wasabi and sweet soy sauce, yakitori (tasty) and tataki (reasonable, but not raw).
We are the first guests, but the restaurant quickly becomes very crowded.
After dinner we have a drink at John McByrne, an Irish pub, and then we walk back to thehotel.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
