Home - Journeys - Holiday Thailand 2017 - Saturday, November 11, 2017

Houses along the khlong.

Houses along the khlong.

We again had a good night at the family in Latkrabang.

Today we are going to visit Hua Ta Kee, that is the intention because that is what we have agreed wit Phranom yesterday. We are waiting for Phranom. But Phranom must wait until Naam Waan has left school, and Naam Waan has to go to school until 1:00 a.m. And Naam Waan does not come home immediately.
In the meantime, Pia buys a hula hoop across the road from a shop selling sporting goods.

And then it starts to rain.
And it's getting dry again.
And it starts raining again.

When it is dry again we decide to look for a fitness center. Holidays in Thailand are not really active holidays, we do travel regularly, but in a car.
There seems to be a fitness center in Hua Ta Kee, at least according to Google. But first we will inquire at the shop across the road.
And they also appear to have a fitness center behind the store. We walk towards it, and for 100 Thb you can work out a whole day. We can also take a look around, and we see all the devices that we used in the Netherlands.
That is beautiful.

Phranom has since left home, but she is using public transportation, and she is very good at getting lost.
After half an hour that is also successful.
We then decide to go and look together in Hua Ta Kee and take a taxi.

We don't know exactly where we should be, but we suspect that we should be at the houses along the khlong. And that suspicion turns out to be correct.
Some of the houses, and the scaffolding in front, have been refurbished, there are restaurants, but also shops that make or sell something traditional, such as photography or frames.
We sit down at the last house, along the water, and order something to drink. It's pretty busy there. And a nice view over the khlong. We will certainly go here more often.
