Home - Journeys - Holiday Thailand 2017 - Sunday, November 12, 2017

We slept well again at the family in Latkrabang.
It promises to be a typical Thai Sunday with family.
And there is nothing wrong with that.

Pia has promised Kukkik, a Thai acquaintance from the Netherlands, to give money to an organization. That organization picks up the sick and injured and takes them to a hospital, and gives the deceased, whose family cannot afford a coffin, a coffin.
And Moue and Phranom also want to give money to that organization.
The organization is located somewhere in Minburi near a large market on Thanon Seri Thai. We drive there and it is very busy. But we get there, and everything that should be given is given.

Then we have to do some shopping, we drive to a Tesco Lotus. But parking is no longer available there.
Then we drive to a Tesco Lotus on Thanon Ramkhamhaeng. We can still park there.
First we eat something at the food court; it is neither good nor bad. But it fills. And then we go shopping. When we leave, just after two o'clock, no parking space is free there either.

Back home there is some talking, we are inside or outside, and little happens.
A little later Kaeng wants to know something about dams in the Netherlands, so Tom shows him something about the Afsluitdijk and the Delta works.
Later everyone is looking at old photos on our PC.

It was indeed a typical Thai Sunday with family.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.

This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not. There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
