Today we will continue to Mae Sariang.
At a quarter past nine, after breakfast, we leave the Pin Hotel in Lampang. First we have to refuel.
First towards Lampung on the highway, then left onto road 114, then after a few hundred meters, left onto road 116; and follow that road for about 25 kilometers.
And then left again onto route 108. This is all going well, there is some work on the road, some slow driving trucks, but it is moving on.
Road 108 is a four-lane road, which we had not expected, until we have passed the turn to
Then suddenly two lane through a town, but then four lane again.
At Thoen, 108 bends to the right, and from then on it is dual carriageway, sometimes bad road surfaces, and especially bends, bends and more bends.
The road is sometimes narrow and unclear. And nowhere are gas stations or toilets.
As we approach Mae Sariang we stop for a short while, at a nice viewpoint, for a sanitary stop and because we are hungry.
We eat something, nothing special, and drive on.
At three o'clock we are in Mae Sariang, with more than 1040 km on the clock.
We check in at the
Riverhouse Resort, a nice room for 1500 Thb, with nice view and a balcony.
After having rested and unpacked for a while, we look around. What we have read about Mae Sariang is sleepiness, and that's true, everything is closed.
We have a drink at the Riverhouse Hotel and walk to Coriander in Redwood, a restaurant. We eat something there, and it tastes pretty good.
During dinner it starts to rain, it rains very hard, but the restaurant is right next to our hotel.
When we walk back to our hotel it is already dry again. We go to bed early.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
