Temple.

Temple.

Su Tong Pae bridge.

Su Tong Pae bridge.

Su Tong Pae bridge.

Su Tong Pae bridge.

We want to take it easy today and the recption of our hotel, The Imperial Mae Hong Son Resort suggests to visit a temple just outside Mae Hong Son and go to the Phu Klon Mineral Mud Spa.
We cannot find the temple, we can find one, but that is nothing special.

Then Pia wants to go to a bamboo bridge. It is not on the map we have with us. We search the internet, and find something, the Su Tong Pae bridge. We decide to go there.
It's quite fun, first we come to a temple on a slope, and there we climb down a staircase of wood and bamboo. At the bottom we then walk over a very long bamboo bridge, through the rice fields and over a river.
On the other side are of course many food stalls. But we don't eat there, we're not hungry yet.
We look around and then walk back over the bridge and the stairs, it has become quite warm.

Then we drive to the Phu Klon Country Club Health Mud Spa. The road to it is well signposted.
It looks nice, and it seems quite busy.
We decide to undergo treatment. That treatment starts with a facial massage. Then we have to change and we are covered with black mud from the well. When the mud has dried in the sun, we are scrubed clean with tamarind and coffee grounds. Finally, we will soak in a bath of warm mineral water for a while.
The whole treatment takes 1.5 hours all together, and it is very relaxing.

We drive back and eat at a restaurant called Sakaewan on the way, the food tastes very good, and the view is beautiful. In the distance we see the temple at the beginning of the bamboo bridge.

Back at the hotel, the counter is at 1500 km.

We are very lazy and sleepy.
We decide to eat in the hotel, western food. We don't recommend it.
