The Imperial Mae Hong Son Resort is a large hotel located just outside the city
Mae Hong Son.
It looks like a big hotel, and it is. When you enter the reception it is very spacious, and later that also applies to the restaurant.
A lot of wood has been used in the hotel, which makes it a bit gloomy, but it is not disturbing.
The hotel looks well maintained.
There are, according to our estimate, over 100 rooms.
We took a Deluxe Room, not because a regular room wouldn't be good, but we just felt like it.
The room is on the ground floor.
When we entered the room it smelled a bit musty, like moisture. You see that a lot in Thai buildings, but it is not necessary.
Furthermore, we have nothing to criticize in the room. There is a lot of space, an estimated 40 square meters. We have a good double bed. The floor is parquet, there is more than enough cupboard space, quiet air conditioning, a TV, hairdryer, flashlight, fire extinguisher, fridge with minibar, a seat, patio doors and a balcony with a seat. From the balcony we have a view of the swimming pool and the garden, which has many large teak trees.
The bathroom is spacious and comfortable. There is enough shower gel and shampoo, and 4 clean towels every day.
The Imperial Mae Hong Son Resort has a small parking lot, the edges of the road are also used as parking. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers and a gym. At the pool is also a beautiful garden with large teak trees. There is a small massage parlor at the reception. The hotel has a restaurant, and breakfast is served outside on a covered terrace. There is free (unsecured) WiFi. And because the hotel is outside the city, a free bus runs to the center of Mae Hong Son several times a day at fixed times. It is also possible at other times, but then you pay 50 Thb per person.
We liked the breakfast. There are Thai and European dishes. The eggs are freshly baked or cooked. And the coffee is good to drink.
We paid 2500 Thb per night including breakfast.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
