Home - Journeys - Thailand 2018/2019 - Friday, February 8, 2019

We did not sleep well at the Sri U-Thong Grand Hotel in Suphan Buri.
Why that is, no idea, but it was too hot or too cold.

Today we want to go to Bung Chawak Chalerm Phra Kiet, a large inland lake where you can see everything, a zoo, an aquarium, gardens and much more.

But something comes in between, even before breakfast Moue calls. We have to go to Ban Rai again, now to sign a lease. The puuyai job wants to rent the land.
We leave at half past nine, and at a quarter to twelve we are at the puuyai baan, who is actually home, undoubtedly out of self-interest. The lease is signed, Pia is working on it for about 45 minutes, and then we drive back. We are looking for something to eat in one of the villages, but there is not much to buy.

Because we pass Bung Chawak on the way back, we also go and have a look.
There is indeed everything to see, and everything has to be paid for separately.
We limit it all to the aquarium because it is too late to view everything. But first we eat a snack.
The aquarium consists of three parts, and the latter must be paid separately again. Everything is free for Pia, she is over 60, but Tom can pay the full price.
The aquariums look nice, well maintained, but we doubt whether it is good for the fish, there are few plants in the containers with water.
And it is full of classes with school children.

We drive back to Suphan Buri, where we do some shopping at Tesco Lotus, and then we look for a place where we can have a drink.
There is something right next to the hotel, it turns out to be a karaoke bar, where mainly pensionados from Suphanburi come. First we have the idea that we have to get out of here quickly, but it all turns out to be fun, Pia even goes dancing. And there was reasonable food for sale.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.

This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not. There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
