Adress: Langs Thanon Prawet - Buri Rom, Thanon Luang Phaeng, Khum Thong,
Latkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand.
Coordinates: 13°42'26"N 100°50'02"E.
This restaurant is just in Bangkok, but on the utmost border.
It's hard to find. You follow Thanon Latkrabang from the airport towards Chachoengsao, the name of the road changes to Thanon Luang Phaeng. If you have passed the highway to Chonburi, pay attention to the first bridge. Immediately after that bridge you turn left, there is a sign with cola advertising on a dirt road. The road is very bumpy, and ends at a small parking lot along a khlong. To the right of the parking lot is the restaurant.
The restaurant is situated between dense vegetation, between a beautiful old house and a khlong.
When we come here we think we will go back 30 years in time.
The view of the khlong and the houses across it is just like in Pia's parents' house 30
years ago: a few wooden houses, scaffolding, people catching fish, small rowing boats.
The restaurant fits in well with the surroundings, it is entirely made of wood, and there
are many old things.
The vegetation and the water cause mosquitoes, but with fans they are kept at a distance.
We have not been bothered by mosquitoes.
Around 50 people can sit in the restaurant.
The kitchen is a separate building near the entrance. If you walk past you see the chefs at work, you cannot see the kitchen from the restaurant.
The staff does not speak English.
There are two menus, a Thai menu and an English. The Thai is considerably more extensive than the English.
There are only Thai dishes on the menu, including some special ones such as fried larb and a sambal of crab eggs. They are often old-fashioned dishes or self-developed dishes; dishes that you do not often find in a restaurant.
The food is not cheap, but not overly expensive either, more than Thb 3500 has been paid for
We have been here regularly a few years ago, but after a change of chefs we stayed away because the new chef was way too wild with pepper.
But now the food tasted good again, just as we expected.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
