The Pantawee Hotel is an old hotel, and it shows.
It is located on a quiet street, about a 10-minute walk from the Mekhong. The hotel consists of three buildings, of which the main building has more than three floors and no elevator. The other two buildings are two and three storeys high. We do not know how many rooms there are, that is very difficult to estimate.
At check-in, we view three rooms, all of which are rather gloomy. We like a room on the ground floor, and we take that room.
The room has two reasonable single beds, air conditioning, TV, tiled floor, PC with headphones, DVD player, fridge with two bottles of water, kettle, instant coffee, space for luggage, wardrobe, a wooden window that can be opened, and no mosquito netting. The room looks very dated and could use some maintenance. It seems clean.
The bathroom fits well with the room, also dated. There is a washbasin with soaps, no shampoo, a western toilet where no paper can be thrown, slippers and two towels.
Furthermore, the hotel has a parking space, small swimming pool, seats in two courtyards,
massage and a restaurant. The Wifi is free.
The breakfast is reasonable, everything is prepared fresh.
The staff is friendly and helpful. If we ask for a wine glass and a corkscrew that is arranged. Problems with the WiFi are also solved very quickly.
We have booked the room in advance through Booking.com. The price is Thb 900 per night, excluding breakfast. The breakfast costs around Thb 30 per person.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
