Home - Journeys - Thailand and Laos 2020 - Sunday, February 16, 2020

We also slept better in Lat Krabang.
The morning ritual begins to form again. Pia does some exercises, and cleans up a bit in the kitchen, luckily not as much as on our previous trip. And Tom writes a travelogue and makes reports of old trips suitable for publication.

At about half past twelve we get hungry, we eat khao man kai (rice with chicken) along the road. We eat in a small restaurant, a bit messy, but it tastes good.

In the afternoon Moue, Kaeng and the children go to the football of Gunn, we have the house to ourselves.
Pia indicates that she wants to go to Haad Chao Lao near Chanthaburi for a few days, not Cha-am where we went every time the last journeys. She asks Phranom when she can bring the car she promised, we want to leave on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Pia's niece Cha-Ee calls and asks if we would like to go to a market at the KMITL. We are looking forward to that, we already planned, and we take a taxi.
After some searching we find Cha-Ee, clear agreements about where to meet someone are very difficult in Thailand. We look around, they are mainly plants, fruit trees and of course food. Unfortunately, there are also animals, such as mice, marmots, rabbits and such.
We get hungry and have some food on the exhibition grounds, hoi thot and pad thai, not expensive and reasonable food.
Then we go home again.

We talk a bit about the children in the house together, we feel that something is not going well. Both Moue and Kaeng are very busy working and driving back and forth, which may give the children less attention than they need. This is even more true for Fug, Kaeng's nephew, who also lives in the house. Fug gets almost no attention at all while he is here because he got into trouble at his parents' home, drug use as far as we know.
We are concerned, but we don't know a solution.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.

This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not. There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
