Home - Journeys - Thailand and Laos 2020 - Monday, February 24, 2020

We spent the night with the family in Lat Krabang.
The morning is pretty predictable, Pia cleans the kitchen and the laundry, Tom writes travel stories and PHP modules. Tom is also investigating whether e-visas are possible for Vietnam and Laos. And that appears to be possible for both countries.

Today Pia wants to go to the hairdresser to have her hair dyed, and she makes an appointment with the hairdresser where she has been regularly during the previous trip to Thailand.

At a quarter to twelve Pia leaves for the hairdresser. We agree that Tom will be at the Paseo Lat Krabang at three o'clock and we will meet again there.

At a quarter past two, Tom walks to the road and takes a taxi. A little later, Pia calls that she is ready at the hairdresser's and that she is also arriving.
In the Paseo Lat Krabang we call each other again, and then Pia says that she is just in a taxi, we will meet at Wine Connection. It takes a very long time for Pia to come, and the hairdresser is actually within walking distance. Tom orders draft beer and marinated raw tuna. When Pia finally arrives it turns out that she has been to a completely different hairdresser. The taxi driver with whom she went to the hairdresser recommended that because she would go to a hairdresser that does not use chemical dyes but plant extracts. Pia is satisfied with the result, Tom is more careful. And it is not clear how this should proceed in the Netherlands if the extracts work well.

Pia stops by a bank, buys a bottle of wine from Wine Connection and a few more bottles of wine from Villa Market.
We eat something at Tong Tem Toh, a restaurant with Northern Thai dishes in the Paseo Lat Kabang and then go home by taxi.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.

This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not. There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment, there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood, the weather and many other factors.
