We arrived in Kamphaen Phet in March 2011 late in the afternoon.
Around noon we departed from Chiang Rai,
along the way, in the mountains, it started to rain, we were getting tired.
Going all the way to Bangkok was not sensible,
so we decided to stay one night in Kamphaeng Phet.
Just before we entered the town something went wrong. We were aproaching a traffic circle, but we were on the lane to a U-turn. So we had to drive a few more kilometers.
The second time we were on the right lane, and we entered Kamphaeng Phet. We did not see much of the city, we were only looking for a hotel. We were lucky, we saw a tall building, and it appeared to be a hotel, and it was better then we expected. We checked in, took a shower and we went out for a walk along the river and the night market. There were a lot of people, it was nice to walk there.
We found a nice restaurant and enjoyed our meal. We decided we will go back to Kamphaeng Phet another time. In 2012 we went back to Kamphaeng Phet, and we still think it's a nice town to visit.
When we talk a walk we see a lot of people moving in the park along the river.
They are running or they use the fitness equipment that is available there.
Kamphaeng Phet is clearly motivating its inhabitants to sport more.
And when we walk further, we also see more restaurants, coffee-shops and bars there is even a real beer-bar with beers from abroad.
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.

Our opinion about a hotel or restaurant is not ment to be a (positive or negative) review, you can find that information on other sites.
