Phitsanulok is a city in the southern part of northern Thailand. It is also the capital of the equally named province. The city is located about 380 kilometers north of Bangkok. The Nan River flows through the city.

Phitsanulok can easily be reached by car, The city is connected by motorways with north, northeast and central Thailand: Highway No.11 (Ta Khli - Chiang Mai), Highway No. 12 (Mae Sot - Mukdahan) and Highway No. 117 (Phitsanulok - Nakhon Sawan). From Bangkok it takes 4-5 hours to get to Phitsanulok. Phitsanulok can also be reached by bus, train and plane.

The coordinates are 16°48'57"N 100°15'49"E.

We come for over 15 years in Phitsanulok, we visit the city every two or three years. Our last visit was in March 2010.
