When you enter Phitsanulok, you get the impression it's a busy town.
We approached the city from different directions, and everywhere you see department stores and many companies.
And also in the centre, where we usually stay in a hotel, you see economic activity.
Every time we come to Phitsanulok, something has changed, a new boulevard along the river,
a renovated night market, river banks that are restored.
The city gives you the imperssion everything is well organized.
The most important temple of Phitsanulok is Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat,
and here you also see things are well organized to recieve many visitors.
And every time we visit the temple, you see things have improved.
The city is located on the banks of the Nan river. There used to be a lot of river houses, but regrettably most of these houses have gone. A few floating restaurants are still on the river, it's nice to have a meal there there in the evening.
We think Phitsanuloke is a nice place to stay, for three of four nights.
In the city and the area around, there are a lot of things to see.
But staying for a longer period, we wouldn't like that,
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travelguide (we are not complete), and it is neither an advice to visit or not to visit a place. Other sites can give you that information.
Our opinion about a hotel or restaurant is not ment to be a (positive or negative) review, you can find that information on other sites.
It is our description of a situation on a certain moment, influenced by our mood.
