Bang Saen is a beach resort located on the east-coast of Thailand, in Chonburi province, about 10 kilometers east of the provincial capital Mueang Chonburi.
The distance between Chonburi and Bangkok is about 100 kilometers,
about one hour by car.
The main part of the road to Bang Saen is a good toll road, four lanes or more
Near Chonburi, the last 20 kilometers, you have to follow a busy four-lane road,
with a lot of trafic lights and a lot of trafic that is turning off.
Bang Saen can easily reached by bus, from Ekamai Bus terminal in Bangkok a lot of busses depart to the eastern part of Thailand, and you cab get off the bus near Bang Saen. For the last part, to the beach, you can take a local songtaews (pick-up trucks who serve as a a mean of public transport).
Most visitor to Banng Saen a Thai people, whole families,
who spend the day eating and drinking on deck chairs, under umbrellas.
If you see white people there, most of the time they are there with a Thai family.
