A long time ago, in 1987, we have visited in Lampang, for a moment, with the whole family.
After a two-day visit to Chiang Mai, we are on the way back to Bangkok, we briefly stopped in Lampang. Just for breakfast.
That's all that we know of that visit.
And the journey back to Bangkok, with 10 people, including two sick children, in the back of a roofed pickup. They were not sick from the food.
Slightly less long ago, in 1991, we came for the second time in Lampang
after an overnight ride in a BMW.
Pia's sister Nok Ten wanted to visit a monument for a well known, deceased monk, and we wanted to go Chiang Mai.
We visited the monument, it was like new and it looked nice. The monument is still there, but now it looks some more dusty.
After that we had dinner in Lampang, in a restaurant that sold only vegetarian dishes. Not quite the intention, but the food tasted good. This restaurant also is still there, close to the provincial house.
After dinner we then went to Chiang Mai by bus.
When we write about a place, we write about what we saw and did there, and what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travelguide (we are not complete), and it is neither an advice to visit or not to visit a place. Other sites can give you that information.
Our opinion about a hotel or restaurant is not ment to be a (positive or negative) review, you can find that information on other sites.
It is our description of a situation on a certain moment, influenced by our mood.
